Declaration of Faith in Islam – Part II

The coming of the Prophet Mohammad (peace be upon him) was foretold by the Prophet Moses in the book of Deuteronomy in the Bible, and by the Prophet Jesus, who gave glad tidings of a messenger who would come after him, named Ahmad.

The Holy Quran states:

????????? ???????????? ?????????? ?????????? ?????????? ??????? ??????????? ?????????? ????????? ??? ???????????? ????????????? ??????????? ?????????????? ????????????? ???? ?????????? ????????? ?????? ????????????? ??????????? ?????????? ???????????? ???????? ???????? ?????????? ????????????? ??????? ??????? ?????????? ??????????? ???????? ???? ???????????? ??????????? ????????????? ???????? ???????? ??????? ?????? ??????????? ???? ??????????????

Those who follow the apostle, the unlettered Prophet, whom they find mentioned in their own (scriptures), – in the law and the Gospel; for he commands them what is just and forbids them what is evil; he allows them as lawful what is good (and pure) and prohibits them from what is bad (and impure); He releases them from their heavy burdens and from the yokes that are upon them. So it is those who believe in him, honor him, help him, and follow the light which is sent down with him,- it is they who will prosper. (Al A’raf 7:157)

And [this happened, too,] when Jesus, the son of Mary, said: “O children of Israel! Behold, I am an apostle of God unto you, [sent] to confirm the truth of whatever there still remains of the Torah, and to give [you] the glad tiding of an apostle who shall come after me, whose name shall be Ahmad (As Saff 61:6).

God conferred a great favor upon Believers by sending among us Messengers from among ourselves. The Prophet was “but a man like yourselves (Al Kahf 18:110)”, but one who was selected by God to receive the gift of Divine Revelation.

Say thou: “I am but a man like you: It is revealed to me by Inspiration, that your God is one God, so stand true to Him, and ask for His Forgiveness. And woe to those who join gods with Allah. (Fussilat 41:6)

The Prophet was sent to lead forth those who believe and do righteous deeds from the depths of Darkness into Light:

????????? ??????? ?????????? ?????? ??????? ???????????? ??????????? ????????? ??????? ?????????? ????????????? ???? ???????????? ????? ???????? ????? ??????? ????????? ?????????? ???????? ?????????? ???????? ??????? ??? ????????? ???????????? ?????????? ?????? ??????? ???? ???????? ??????? ???? ???????

A Messenger, who rehearses to you the Signs of Allah containing clear explanations, that he may lead forth those who believe and do righteous deeds from the depths of Darkness into Light (At Talaq 65:11).

For he rehearses the Signs of God, sanctifies, and instructs in Scripture and wisdom:

?????? ????? ?????? ????? ????????????? ???? ?????? ??????? ???????? ????? ??????????? ??????? ?????????? ???????? ?????????????? ??????????????? ?????????? ????????????? ????? ???????? ??? ?????? ????? ?????? ????????

Indeed, God bestowed a favor upon the believers when he raised up in their midst an apostle from among themselves, to convey His messages unto them, and to cause them to grow in purity, and to impart unto them the divine writ as well as wisdom – whereas before that they were indeed, most obviously, lost in error (Al Imran 3:164).

The Holy Prophet is:

?????????? ????? ??????? ?????????? ?????????? ?????????

The one who invites to Allah’s (grace) by His leave, and as a lamp spreading light. (Al Ahzab 33:46).

We are to obey God and the Prophet, for Hell awaits those who disobey while those who obey are in the company of those on whom is the Grace of God—the Prophets, the Sincere lovers of Truth, the Witnesses, and the Righteous.

?????? ???????? ????? ??????? ?????????????? ????? ?????? ??????? ??????????? ??????? ???? ????? ????????? ?????????? ?????? ???????

Unless I proclaim what I receive from Allah and His Messages: for any that disobey Allah and His Messenger,- for them is Hell: they shall dwell therein for ever (Al Jinn 72:23).

????? ?????? ?????? ???????????? ????????????? ???? ????????? ???????? ?????? ????????? ????? ????????????? ???????????????? ????????????? ??????????????? ???????? ?????????? ????????

All who obey Allah and the apostle are in the company of those on whom is the Grace of Allah,- of the prophets (who teach), the sincere (lovers of Truth), the witnesses (who testify), and the Righteous (who do good). What a beautiful fellowship (4:69).

The Prophets, through cognition of God in the depth of their own beings, witnessed the truth, attained the highest spiritual level, and attested to the oneness of existence by annihilating in the truth of Existence, God. Sufism is the essence of the Prophet’s teachings. It is the Way of the Prophets. Sufism is the Way to the true declaration of faith.
